To taste
Taste the delicious Savoyard cuisine in the many restaurants of Val d'Isère, which offer local specialties such as fondue, raclette, tartiflette and gratin. Savoyard cuisine is characterized by its simplicity and the use of local products, based on cold meats and mountain cheeses (Abondance, Beaufort, Chevrotin, Emmental, Reblochon, Tome) accompanied by potatoes, pasta – crozets, taillerins – or even polenta (“polinte”) and dried fruits: nuts, prunes, raisins or apricots. For dessert, try the blueberry pie. Mainly based on white wines, Savoyard viticulture dates back to the Roman Empire.
